Zuke-Don

If you happen to be in Ann Arbor and like Japanese food check out Cafe Japon on Liberty Street. I absolutely love their Zuke-Don (Thu-Sat special): marinated sashimi tuna over whole lot of avocado and rice. It comes with a fair size salad and miso soup. All that for only 10 dollars!

Mulberry and Pear/Peach Tree

Some great news: my mulberry tree is
alive - I did not destroy it, so relieved!

The tree I have been calling pear tree is really a
peach tree. It is in full bloom and looks beautiful.
Pictures taken 4-11-10 and 4-18-10.

Potty Animals

I went this morning to see my friend
and local children's book author
Hope Vestergaard read her new book
Potty Animals to a group of eager little
and big listerners at Nicola's Books.
Hope created some very interesting
characters for this story and Valerie
Petrone's illustration are fun and well
fitting.

I am sorry but for some reason my photos
came blurry.

A happy customer getting his copies signed.

Backyard update

The back yard is getting a bit greener. Lots of little
plants are starting to grow. Only flowers so far are
some tiny wild violets.

The buds in the pear tree are getting big...

My mulberry tree is not doing so well
yet, but I am hopeful. I think it wakes
up fairly late.
